The vision of the Office of
Research and Grants is to assist faculty, staff, and students
obtain and administer sources of support for the conduct
of mission-related research within the College of Education,
to help shape both the research and academic programs within
the college to support the pursuit of new knowledge, and
to foster a research culture.

The office is responsible to community in its broadest connotation. Whether in education, training, research or service the office, within the context of the College, is sensitive, attentive, and responsible to diversity and issues related to diversity, in all of its forms, in the people and communities with whom it works, in the manner of working toward achieving its mission, and in the ultimate goals it attempts to achieve. These objectives are to be met in response to diversity characterizing communities and their needs at the local, state, national, international and professional levels.
Services
The following constitute services for faculty, staff, and students offered
by the Office of Research and Grants:
- Assistance in locating appropriate sources
of research funding
- Assistance in the preparation
of grants and contracts, including:
- Project planning
- Budgeting and cost estimation
- Research, measurement, statistics,
and evaluation consultation
- Preparation of grant boilerplate
- Tracking grant progress
- Supervision of grant expenditures
- To the extent limited by law and
available resources, advocating and liaison with
potential grant funding sources.
