In the first section, we have include common forms for internal clearance (e.g., ICF) , budgeting, and human subjects review. We then provide three samples of different types of budgets that reflect the differing types of activities that are typical of many grants. These forms require MS Excel™ to view and manipulate. Finally we provide an example of a project workflow that uses MS Project™ . This will give an example of trying to estimate the amount of effort needed to run a grant.

Under OMB A-21, administrative cost are usually absorbed by overhead. The University charges to the same funding agent. However in some cases, you can charge administrative costs to the grant. This has to be declared before the grant is submitted through the use of an exemption form.
